Research Study |
The Manitoba Chapter of CSGNA is starting an
expanded version of a research study the results of which were published in
the Gastroenterology Nursing journal in the summer of 2007.
This research study will be on the Incidence of Upper Extremity Injuries in
Canadian Nurses Working in Gastroenterology.
We are seeking nurses to take part in our study.
The requirements of the participants are minimal and include answering a
survey and a questionnaire.
The research will be reviewed for ethics issues and the information offered
by the participants will be confidential.
The participants should be actively involved in the practice of endoscopy,
whether that be in a hospital endo suite, O.R., clinic, doctor’s office, or
any other centre where endoscopy is practiced.
Research packages will include an explanation of the study, the research
tools, a consent form, instructions, and a stamped return envelope.
The participants will be advised of the results and at the end of the study,
the questionnaires will be destroyed to ensure confidentiality.
