Membership

The CSGNA  provides many member services.  An Annual Conference, Standards  of Practice, Position Statements and Guidelines for Client Care, Three Newsletters each year,  Scholarships to National Conferences, Chapter Package to assist with the formation of local  chapters, new Member Package,  and a unit Orientation Package.

There  are four  membership  categories:
 

Open  to  registered nurses  and  other  health  care  professionals  engaged in  full or  part-time  Gastroenterology  nursing  or  Endoscopy  nursing  in  a clinical,  supervisory,  teaching,  research  or  administrative  capacity. They are  eligible  to  vote.  Only  registered  nurses  may  hold  office.
 

Open  to  nurses,  healthcare  professionals/persons  engaged  in  activities relevant  to  the  field  of  Gastroenterology  but  not  currently  engaged  in Gastroenterology  or  Endoscopy  nursing.  They  are  not  eligible  to  vote or  hold  office.
 

Any  member  deemed  to  have  contributed  substantial  time  and  effort towards  the  advancement  of  the  CSGNA  may  be  nominated  for  a lifetime  membership.  All  past  presidents  will  be  awarded  lifetime membership  on  the  completion  of  their  term  in  office.  All  other  nominations  will  be  voted  on  by  the  members  present  at  the  Annual Business  Meeting.
